After an impressive streak of seasons for the Mashpee High School Falcons baseball team, the expectations are high yet again for this season.
The Falcons come into the season after losing numerous key seniors, including Nick Carpenter, Alex Morry, Joe Mackie, and others. Those Falcons took the team to another deep playoff push, falling the Saint John Paul yet again.
However, all hope is not lost.

However, all hope is not lost.
This season, the team touts a lot of young talent. The team has five seniors: Zach Landry, Michael Fraser, Bryce Eaton, Jack Richmond, and Freddy Hanna. These players are looking to become huge aspects of the team, and will need to step up and fill big holes in order to do so.
When asked about the season, Hanna said, “We lost a lot of seniors but we have a lot of experience with a lot of guys who have been in the program and are looking forward to proving people wrong.”
The Falcons dropped their first game in Barnstable on Monday afternoon, losing by a score of 8-7 to Sturgis West. This game was filled with runs and walks, as Hanna said, and was easily winnable. The Falcons look to better their record today as they face Hull at four thirty.
