When Grey’s Anatomy aired its first episode on March 27, 2005 the season following only had nine episodes. Now the hit tv show has at least 23 episodes every season, each episode being 45 minutes. The setting is based at a hospital in Seattle, Washington called Seattle Grace Hospital. Created by Shonda Rhimes, the show is said to bring out every emotion known to the human body.

The story follows Meredith Grey and her peer interns while they try their best to become world changing surgeons. During the course of her internship which progresses to residency she finds that this world is very small. Grey’s past soon becomes her present. Ellis Grey, Meredith’s mother and a world known surgeon sets her daughters standards higher than most intern surgeons. Throughout the seasons watch as Meredith’s mother’s and father’s decisions continuously affect her lifestyle. The focus grows from Meredith to many people inside the hospital.
Currently the show is in its 12th season but you can catch up on both Hulu and Netflix. IMDb rates Grey’s with a 7.7/10, Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 74%, and tv.com gives it an 8.8. Personally, I have yet to find one person who has not fallen in love with Doctor George O’Malley or felt deeply for Doctor Izzy Stevens and Denny Duquette. Start watching Grey’s Anatomy today and you won’t be let down.
