This cast was outstanding, No one brings Drama and comedy together like Tina Fey (30 Rock, Mean Girls), whose quirkiness could bring light to any movie. As I left the theatre I had overheard a family saying “It’s like Liz Lemon stopped TGC to go report in Afghanistan.” (Liz lemon is the producer of the show TGC in the show 30 Rock.) But with a gritty twist you might not see in Liz. Tina Fey by herself is able to make a hard pressing topic soft and relatable.
I personally thought the movie was incredible. There is nothing like a good drama that can make you laugh and put you on the edge of your seat. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot did just that. Even washed up Billy Bob Thornton did an adequate job. This credit can go to directors Glenn Ficarra, John Requa (crazy, stupid, love). One thing that I really loved and made me want to tell so many people to watch this movie is relevance. The problems faced in this film are not foreign to us. It is real, and it is easy to over look
