The start of 2017 in terms of American politics has already been as insane as it was last year, which is surprising since American politics in 2016 was probably one of the biggest messes in American history. With how many controversies that have happened already, I’m surprised that the Canadian Immigration website didn’t shut down again.
I’ll start off with Donald Trump’s Inauguration. The inauguration wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Donald Trump was respectable and he wasn’t trying to start any controversy. Honestly I thought he was going to rant about how “Hillary Clinton should be in jail” or “We’re gonna build a wall!” or something. The the only thing I didn’t like about the inauguration was all the backlash against Trump. Instead of protesting peacefully, some people started setting things on fire, attacking each other, and even breaking windows for no reason. And instead of making fun of President Trump for looking like an Oompa Loompa, people started attacking Barron Trump. What is causing thousands of dollars in property damage and making fun of a 10 year old for being overly bored gonna solve?

One thing I was afraid of was violence at the Women’s March. Thankfully, everything was mostly peaceful. The only problem I had with it was that Donald Trump didn’t say anything foolish about it on his Twitter. I find that stuff funny.
However, the biggest of these controversies is the government's decisions on the repealing of ObamaCare without a replacement. Since a significant number of Americans need ObamaCare to support themselves, repealing ObamaCare without a replacement is probably the worst possible way of dealing with the situation. I don’t understand how some people really think that this is a good idea. This is almost as stupid as building a wall along the Mexican-American Border
Speaking of that wall, I think it’s one of the moronic things I’ve ever heard. Since the Mexican government won’t obviously pay for it, a wall around the border would only make our 20 trillion dollar debt even worse. Even if they did build a wall, it wouldn’t stop all illegal immigration since a large majority of people that go over the border illegally, come into the country though air travel.
There is only one word that my feelings towards American politics recently: Embarrassing.
