Interview by Eddie Childs
Q: The first thing I would like to ask you, is who are you, and what do you believe you've contributed to MHS?
A: My name is Wayne Jackson. I’m a two-time class President, and I believe I’m a very well respected student. I’m very determined to succeed academically, and I think my educational values qualifies for the MHS standards. I've established a chess club here, and interned the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce. I like to inspire kids to do there best, and to keep at it.

Q: Where were you born/raised?
A: I was born in Falmouth, MA. Throughout my lifetime I’ve lived in the same house in Mashpee, and I’m proud to say it.
Q: Do you have any remarkable memories?
A: Memories?... I think if i had to narrow it down to a certain memory I think about often, it would be my childhood in my dad's Barber Shop. I took a liking to the whole Barber Shop atmosphere, and we were located on Mainstreet in Cape Cod, there was always something happening.
Q: So your dad owned his own Barber Shop?
A: Yes, he named it “Wiz's Barber Shop.” I can remember being a kid, and saying i was sick just so I could go to work with my dad and be in the shop.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: I see myself just getting out of school, and right away looking to find a job to help me financially. Ultimately, I know in 5 years I will be faced with transition period in which I have to find out what I'm going to want to do with my life. I know I want to own my own business someday, just not what department of work.
Q: Where do you think you'll end up?
A: As far as I can remember, I've wanted a little suite on the hill side of Burgundy France. Something that's clean, and easy for me to adapt to. I see myself on my own for the most part of life, but that could always change!
Q: Overall, what has Mashpee done for you?
A: Mashpee has given me a foundation. A foundation of determination, and excellence, and the exuberance I need to succeed. I am thankful for attending a school like this.
