Interview by Emily Kelleher
Who would be three people, dead or alive, that you would like to have lunch with?
Three people dead or alive, it’s going to be super basic but, Taylor Swift, probably J.K. Rowling because she is honestly like my favorite person on this planet and Lincoln.
What do you think is the biggest issue with Mashpee high?
The biggest issue, I feel like, you mentioned later school start times; I feel like that could be an issue just because taking in the consideration of other schools, because I have a sibling in the Quashnet School and I don’t know how that would work with parents working and picking him up on time, so I’m not sure whether I support going to school later or earlier. I don’t know, I guess I’d have to see how that turns out.

What are your favourite classes this year?
All my classes, that’s hard. I think it’s definitely history or strings. Strings because I’ve been playing the violin a really long time and it’s just something that I’ve learned how to do and I’m pretty proud of it, like I’m pretty a pretty average player, which isn’t saying much. [When talking about history] I like learning about the past and how it relates to everything know and how it’s influenced our lives know.
If you could do anything to make the Mashpee, as a town, a better place, what would you do?
What would I do? I think I would try to get a little more community involvement, like parks and everything. I know we do have like dog parks, obviously. We could probably use another movie theater, that would be nice. Maybe a pool? Like I’m not suggesting anything but, like you gotta start somewhere.
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Where would it be? I’d want to live in Sweden. I’ve read about it a little and it’s like, I don’t know, I like the whole idea of having the sun out until super late and the language is really funny, which is kind of great. No, it’s cool, they’re mostly English but, then there is the occasional like Swedish word with like fifteen letters long. I think they have good schools too.
Where do you like to go on vacation?
I’ve been mainly to California and Florida and I really like the area [of] Clearwater, Florida. It’s so nice, it’s so touristy but, in a good way because if you take a walk on the beach there, there’s like fifteen chain hotels like on the side but, other than that, it’s great.
What are two things that you would like all people to know about you?
I think probably that I enjoy writing and that I’m very adventurous.
