Interview by Adriana DeSimone
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Harwich Massachusetts, on Cape Cod, I live in the same house I grew up in, I left Cape Cod, went to college and got a job off Cape in Rockland, and I bought the house I grew up in and bought it with my wife.
As a kid, what were your interests?
Fishing, anything to do with mechanics, and bikes, I always liked taking bikes apart then putting them back together, I always wanted a mini-bike motorcycle, but my dad said no because they were too dangerous, I did a lot of fishing.

In high school, did you play any sports?
No sports in high school but I played in the youth hockey league.
How did you know you wanted to be a teacher?
I really didn't. I liked working with my hands, I decided to do student teaching one semester, to go off into building, and I thought it would give me more options. I really liked it, I applied over summer for teaching jobs, and I got 3 interviews and 3 rejections. One school called me that I did not even apply for and asked if I wanted an interview. I said, 'Yes of course,' but then they said I didn't get the job, but called me the next day and said I got it. I really liked the kids there, after 3 years I was laid off, I was able to pick up another job in East Bridgewater.
