A. No, I have not always lived in Mashpee. I moved here from Falmouth, in second grade.
Q. What’s your favorite part about growing up on Cape Cod?
A. The beach. Going to the beach, it’s right there, you can go there everyday if you want.
Q. What’s your favorite class in school, and why?
A. I’d have to go with band, because you create something magical.
Q. What do you play in band?
A. The trumpet.
Q. Any favorite song?

Q. Are you involved in any sports or clubs?
A. Yes. I do track in the spring, and I’m on the cross-country team in the fall.
Q. Do you have any favorite events in track?
A. The 400 meter race is my favorite.
Q. What’s your favorite part about the sport?
A. Track is a wonderful sport, that is more about teamwork than people think. We always need more teammates!
Q. If you could change one thing about Mashpee High School, what would it be?
A. I would change the lunch times. I feel like we could make it a little more efficient, and not have so many people in one lunch and not so many in the other lunch.
Q. So you want more of a balance?
A. Yes.
Q. What do you plan to do for the remainder of your high school career? Any specific classes, or ideas?
A. I’m planning to take science classes, like AP Physics 1, then AP Physics 2. Other classes I plan to take include AP Lang, junior seminar, and senior seminar as well.
Q. Do you have any plans regarding college, or your future career?
A. I wish to go to the Air Force Academy, and get an engineering degree there. After that, I’d like to join the Air Force and become a pilot.
Q. Why do you want to join the Air Force and become a pilot?
A. I want to be able to do something that people are not allowed to do without special certification, and I want to become part of something great. Also, military retirement pays well.
Q. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A. I would go to Japan, because I find its culture to be quite interesting and unique.
Q. Do you have any advice for other students?
A. I would say definitely get work in on time. Force yourself to do it, even if you’re not up to it, turn it in early, if you have the time to, and that will definitely help you keep on track with schoolwork.
